Our Partnership with The Women's Bean Project (December 2025)

This December, Lavender Coffee Boutique is brewing more than great coffee—we’re brewing impact. All month long, we’re giving back to the Women’s Bean Project, a Denver-based nonprofit creating real pathways to stability for women overcoming major life challenges. We sat down with Lavender founder Lindsey and Women’s Bean Project CEO Shelby to talk about empowerment, holiday giving, and how something as simple as a cup of coffee can spark real change.

Lavender is giving back all December, what inspired you to choose Women’s Bean Project as our holiday partner? - Lindsey, Founder Lavender Coffee Boutique

We wanted our December giving to be about real, lasting impact. The Women's Bean Project caught our attention because they offer more than just charity—they offer jobs and skills.

They hire women who are overcoming major life hurdles like addiction, homelessness, and chronic unemployment, giving them the training and confidence needed for a fresh start. We love that they are helping women become financially independent and build better futures. That kind of powerful, hands-on empowerment really resonates with our values here at Lavender Coffee Boutique, and we know it will resonate with our customers, too. Every purchase this month helps fuel that mission.

For anyone new to Women’s Bean Project, what’s the heart behind your mission—especially during the holiday season? - Shelby, CEO Women's Bean Project

At the heart of Women’s Bean Project is the belief that every woman deserves the chance to build her life with dignity, stability, and purpose. The holidays can be especially hard for women facing poverty, housing insecurity, domestic violence, or life after incarceration. This season reminds us how powerful it is to create a place where women can access meaningful work, earn a steady paycheck, and receive the wraparound supports they need to build a stable future.

What kind of change does a simple purchase—like a cup of coffee—help create for the women in your program? - Shelby, CEO Women's Bean Project

A single cup of coffee helps create something big: opportunity. Every purchase supports paid job training, case management, health services, and more, providing the support women need to move forward. You are helping someone rebuild her life one shift, one paycheck, and one goal at a time.

How can people continue to support Women’s Bean Project beyond December? - Shelby, CEO Women's Bean Project

You can support us year-round by shopping our products, making a monthly gift, taking a tour, volunteering, attending events, and sharing our mission with friends and colleagues. Following us on social media and telling our story helps grow a community of support around the women we serve.

If you could give the community one ‘holiday message’ about supporting women in transition, what would it be? - Shelby, CEO Women's Bean Project

This season, remember that kindness doesn’t have to be complicated to change lives. When you choose to support women who are rebuilding, you’re giving more than a gift - you’re giving hope, stability, and the chance for a new beginning.

What’s one small act—from buying coffee to spreading the word—that makes a big impact? - Shelby, CEO Women's Bean Project

Choosing to support businesses and organizations that give back. Whether it’s buying coffee, sharing a post, or having a conversation with a friend, those small acts ripple out in ways you may never see - but we promise, they matter.

If Lavender had a ‘holiday wish’ for the community this year, what would it be? - Lindsey, Founder Lavender Coffee Boutique

If Lavender Coffee had one holiday wish for the community this year, it would be for presence over presents. We wish everyone the gift of slowing down, connecting with the people they love, and truly savoring those small, peaceful moments this season brings. Whether you visit us in person or get the Lavender experience delivered right to your door, we hope to help those intentional moments happen.
